chapter twelve
-Sincerity-
My eyes shot open as I heard yelling coming from another room. I heard Molly's voice, and immediately leapt out of bed. I didn't bother lighting a candle as I dashed out of the room and headed towards my sister's. The door opened and slammed shut as Will walked out. I felt the anger welling up inside me as I walked up to him. "Will." I said coldly.
He turned to me, an eerie smile covering his face. "Sincerity." he replied, equally cold.
"So I heard about what happened. Treated Molly like another one of your whores, huh? I knew you weren't good enough for her. If I had things my way, you would've been out of this band a long time ago." I sneered. He looked down at his feet. Was he ashamed? "You're nothing. Just another lonely boy looking for love. You'll never find it. You don't deserve it. No one will ever love you. You think the girls you fuck love you? You're wrong. Molly actually cared. Those other girls, they're just looking for a simple fuck like you are. They're using you just as much as you're using them. You don't have any power over them. You're just a weak little shit." My voice remained frighteningly calm and quiet.
He looked up at me, eyes wide with anger. He flew at me, grabbing my wrists and shoving me against the wall. He held my arms over my head as he brought his face inches away from my own. "I'm not weak. The girls I fuck love me. They want nothing but me. All I am is giving them what they want. What about you, Sincerity? What about the way you tease the boys? That coy little smile, that flirtatious hair toss. Your little skirts and knee-high boots. Do you really think you're above me?"
"At least I'm capable of emotion." I replied through my clenched teeth. "At least I can feel." Will took one hand and brushed the hair out of my eyes. I turned my head away from him. "Don't touch me." I turned back to him and stared into his eyes, so dark and full of rage. "You know you're only doing this because you're angry at Molly. You have no right to be angry at her. You should be angry with yourself for being such a worthless human being."
"What about you, Sincerity? Are you angry with yourself for being such a tease?" I struggled to get my arms free, but Will held me there with one hand. "You know, if Molly hadn't been so pathetic and thrown herself at me, I would have gone for you."
"Oh, lucky me." I said sarcastically, disgusted. I didn't know they made men this pig-like.
"Fiesty." Will smirked as he brought one hand up to my face, trailing a path down my body with his fingertips. He leaned forward and kissed me hard on the lips. He shoved his tongue in my mouth, and I bit down, hard. He pulled away and glared at me angrily.
"You're disgusting."
I heard a door open, but didn't have time to look and see who it was before Will was forcing himself onto me again. I raised my knee into his groin, and he let go of me. My left arm swung and I punched him hard in the face. He bent down and touched his bleeding lip before raising himself to his full height again. "You'll pay for that." he said to me.
"I really don't think I will." I swung my right leg up and kicked him in the face, knocking him to the ground. Looks like those karate lessons I took as a kid paid off. I felt someone's hand on my arm, and whirled around to see Isaac standing behind me, and Zac only a few steps away.
"Are you okay?" Isaac asked, concerned.
"I'm fine." I replied, smiling at him.
Zac couldn't suppress his laughter. "Well, he's not." he said through his laughter as Will stood up slowly, and began walking menacingly towards us. Zac's face turned serious again. "If you ever touch her or her sister again-"
"What will you do, little Hanson?" Will teased.
Zac's eyes widened in anger. "Lit...Little Hanson? I know you didn't just call me that." Zac took a step forward, his hands clenching into fists. I put a hand on his shoulder to keep him back.
The candles on the wall next to us flared up suddenly. I gasped and backed up into Isaac, whose arms wrapped around me protectively. Zac looked at the wall, and Will took advantage of his distraction and punched Zac swiftly in the face. Candles lit down the hall, one by one, until they reached the doorway to the room that Zac and I had found. The door blew open, and my hair blew around my face. Will raised his arm to hit Zac again, but he was tossed backwards, and flew into the room. The door slammed, leaving the three of us in the hallway, eyes wide and breathing heavily.
I broke out of Isaac's arms and ran to the door. "Will? Will!" I called, banging on the door.
"Why are you so concerned? Just leave him there." Zac said, shrugging.
"You don't care if he's dead?" I asked, turning to face Zac and his brother.
"Not particularly. Don't you think he deserves it?"
"Of COURSE he deserves it! But we don't deserve to be investigated for murder!" I pointed out. I tried to open the door, and banged on it a few more times before realizing that it was useless. I slowly walked back to Isaac and Zac.
"I wonder if Molly or Taylor heard any of that." Isaac pondered.
"How could they not? It was pretty loud." Zac replied.
"If they heard something, don't you think they would have come out?" I asked. The door to Molly's room remained closed. My eyes were heavy, and I realized just how tired that entire fiasco had made me. "I think I'm going to go back to sleep...Providing I'm not too terrified." I looked at Isaac. "Stay with me?"
"Fine, leave me out of all the fun." Zac pouted. I looked at him, eyebrows raised. "Not THAT kind of fun!"
I giggled as I kissed his cheek, wrapping my arms around his neck. "Thank you." I whispered in his ear.
"You're welcome." he whispered in reply. "No one messes with my Sin." he said as I pulled away from him. "I can call you "my Sin", right? I know it's only been four days, but..."
"You don't have to explain. Goodnight, Zac."
Zac turned and walked into his bedroom, shutting the door quietly behind him. Isaac softly grasped my hand, and we stepped into my own room. He shut the door behind us as I sat on the bed. "That was scary." I immediately regretted saying it. Of course it was scary. That was kind of a "duh" statement.
Isaac sat next to me and looked down. "I should have been there. I shouldn't have let it get that far. I should have been there to help you. To save you."
I looked up at him, surprised. I couldn't help but let out a chuckle. "Isaac, you don't have to be my knight in shining armor. I don't expect that of you."
Suddenly he grasped my face in his hands. "I won't let anything happen to you."
I brought my hands up and placed them over his. "I know." He leaned forward and kissed me. His hands slowly left my face and travelled down to my shoulders. He gently pushed me backwards until my head was resting on the soft pillows. I put one hand on his back, the other resting on his face. He pulled away. "Do you want to..."
My heart melted. No one had asked me that before. Not that I hadn't done...Erm...It...Before, but no one had had the courtesy to ask - they just assumed. I looked up at him, a smile forming on my face. I pressed my lips against his again, playing with the hem of his shirt. I pulled away from him long enough to pull the shirt over his head before kissing him frantically again.
-----
My eyes fluttered open, and I immediately flinched at the brightness of the sun streaming through the window. Isaac's arm moved from its position on my waist, and he smiled at me, kissing my forehead. "Good morning, beautiful."
I snickered. "I hardly think I'm beautiful at this hour of the morning. Especially after...Well, you know. You were there."
Isaac laughed as he got out of bed and walked towards the door. "Um, Ike?" He turned towards me. "Clothes?"
He looked down and shrugged sheepishly. I clutched the sheet around my body as I got out of bed and tossed Isaac's clothes towards him. He slipped into his boxers and walked over to me, wrapping his arms around my waist. "You know, that sheet is very stunning on you. You should wear it more often."
"Well, thank you, darling." He pressed his forehead against mine and kissed me softly. I wrapped my arms around his neck and pulled him closer to me. The door burst open, and I turned. "You know, Zac, knocking is a good thing."
"Not right now, it's not. You guys need to get out here. Now." His voice had a sense of urgency that made Isaac and I rush to get dressed. Isaac left to go to his room and change, and reappeared in my doorway just as I finished putting on a pair of jeans and a tank top. I slipped my feet into a pair of Converse before heading into the hallway.
Taylor, Molly, and Zac were standing at the door where Will had been tossed the night before. "I filled them in. They didn't hear anything at all last night."
Molly rushed to me and enveloped me in a hug. "I'm so sorry, Sincerity. I'm sorry." she repeated frantically, her breathing becoming heavier until I knew she was crying. I pulled away from her and used my thumb to wipe the tears from her cheeks.
"Molly, it's okay. I'm fine. I'm more than fine. As long as we're both okay, you know everything will be all right." I kissed her forehead and wrapped my arms around her again as the brothers looked on. Molly retreated back to Taylor's side, and he put a protective arm around her and smiled warmly at me as Zac continued.
"We still can't get this door open."
Everyone was silent for a moment as we thought. "I have an idea." I piped up. I ran downstairs and to the kitchen. In the pantry, there had been a large box on the floor that I had looked in. I grabbed its contents and ran back upstairs.
"Axes?" Taylor asked incredulously. "Where were those?"
"In the pantry downstairs."
Zac giggled maniacally. "Sincerity, I love the way you think. You could be my twin." He grabbed an axe from the box and started hacking away at the door. Taylor and I both joined him, while Isaac comforted Molly, who looked frightened. I couldn't blame her. We had no idea what would be behind this door when we got rid of it. In this house, no one could know.
