i got a copy of the hanson: underneath acoustic live special. egads. they're smokin' hot, y'all. fucking SMOKIN' hot.
and really, all i wanted was "tightrope" and "ain't no sunshine". i can die now. hee.
WHAT. THE. FUCK.
i have no idea what happened yesterday, but all of a sudden my new layout isn't up anymore? WHAT. THE. FUCK? hate. mad hate.
an update? what? haha.
okay, so i added four chapters of "voodoo", because i suck with updating that, even though it's all been written for awhile (with the exception of chapter twelve, which i just wrote tonight). at any rate, i just want to thank molly again for being such a great author to work with and a great friend. so thanks, moll.
also, added a short story called "two steps closer" that i'm not sure how the reactions you will have will be...the reactions i've got so far have been mixed. but oh well. i posted it anyway. i realized that the link to "curiouser and curiouser" wasn't exactly working, so i fixed that. sorry, y'all.
I LIKE FEEDBACK. SIGN THE GUESTBOOK. PLEASE.
you know, guys, hanfic awards are my FRIEND. i've been writing fanfiction for the better part of seven years, and i've never even gotten NOMINATED. so i fucking nominated MYSELF for the nickel dime awards that TearsofBlood on hanson.net was advertising on the forums. check out the "site" dropdown menu for the award details and a link and such.
man, y'all. some CRAZINESS.
so ashley and i left mesquite around 5.30-5.45, and got to waco around...erm...8.00-ish? i think? at any rate, katy called, and she hadn't even left denton yet, so we had to kill an hour and a half in austin - by parking downtown and walking around, doing pretty much nothing except working off calories and seeing the capital building. went to katy's after that, hung out for awhile, went to magnolia cafe to eat dinner/lunch/whatever. fell asleep around...4.30-ish? 5.00-ish? woke up at 10.00 or so, and hung around the house until 3.40, when we left for the thing. that's when the fun ensued.
turns out girls fucking CAMPED OUT at a cinco de mayo festival for hanson. and also, we're really easy to read - everyone we saw that worked there was like "y'all here to see hanson?" and we're like "are we really that obvious?" we weren't dressed like OC rejects like half the other girls there. whatev. at any rate, we just hung around for awhile until we met up with alex and two of his buddies. then we stood around and smoked until they shooed everyone away from the stage so that hanson could have their "private soundcheck". or whatever. so we stood like cattle for a long, long time (because hanson is late to EVERYTHING, in case you didn't know). alex and i smoked cigarettes, and we said obnoxious things to see what the hanson fan reaction would be. it was pretty amusing - possibly the most fun i had at the entire concert.
eventually we FINALLY got let in - even though my little group was standing in the front of the cattle fence thing, we ended up in the back at the actual performance part of it. retarded. but it was fun - we had room to dance, and i still got fabulous pictures. taylor said "call your radio station and tell them to play that fucking record." taylor has a pottymouth. also, there was mention of mud wrestling because it totally looked like it was about to rain. and also, i yelled "isaac is a fox" and "zac is a stone fox" at moments when it got quiet. i KNOW they heard me, because zac made this cute little face and isaac looked in my direction - dare i say, directly at me (that's probably the wishful twelve-year-old in my head). they played for about 45 minutes or so, an acoustic set. i don't remember a set list or anything, but i do remember that they played "ain't no sunshine", and it made me moist. yes. yes, it did. isaac should have sex with me and do that growly thing with his voice that he seems so fond of doing. cause it's fucking HOT, y'all.
they did a short autograph session afterwards. i feel kind of bad, because they cut off the line one group after ashley and i got to go. at any rate, i got their autographs (again). i was like "zac, do you think you could like, personalize it? write my name on it or something?" and he was all "well, what's your name?" and i said "cat", and he just looked at me with his eyebrows raised, and i was like "um, yeah, like the feline." zac made an extremely cute face here that i wish i could have gotten a picture of, because...cute. i managed to run around the table and get a picture with him (although my face is only half in the picture because i suck). shook hands with taylor and assured him that i do like him, i just couldn't get a picture with him because everything was so rushed. shook isaac's hand, asked if i could get a picture, went around the table, got a picture with isaac. made my night, y'all, for real.
the drive home didn't feel like it was 4-5 hours long. somehow katy got to austin in like...3 1/2 hours. she also drives faster than i do, and didn't stop for gas or food like ashley and i did.
at any rate. i'm home now. and very tired. there are pictures in my livejournal. here is a direct link.
okay, y'all - i won tickets to the private hanson concert in dallas on may 14th. i kick so much ass, it's unbelievable. i've never won anything from the radio before, and all of a sudden, i win? HANSON stuff, at that? i never thought it was possible.
also, i'm going to austin this weekend to see them. i'll take lots of pictures and post them...because i have a snazzy digital camera, y'all. ;)
i've been trying to write...i really have. molly will kick my ass if i don't write more of "voodoo" soon, i know she will. i've been so busy with school and stuff, though, that it's hard to find time and inspiration to write. at any rate, hopefully i'll have some more stuff up shortly...including pictures. because hanson? awesome. hopefully i'll meet them. twice. because that would rock.
